Mozart Chocolate Cream

Mozart Chocolate Cream is a 17% ABV milk chocolate liqueur made with Belgian chocolate and cream by Mozart Distillerie in Salzburg, Austria. It is the brand's flagship product, also known as "Gold". The distillery has operated in Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, for more than sixty years, and every bottle is still made there; the IWSC named the distillery Liqueur Producer of the Year in 2020.

How is it made?

According to the producer, the liqueur is made using a sugar beet distillate base, conched Belgian chocolate, a special cream enriched with cocoa butter from the Netherlands, and only Madagascan Bourbon vanilla. It is made with natural ingredients and is gluten-free.

What does Mozart Chocolate Cream taste like?

The dark, semi-brown, glossy liqueur has vanilla and cocoa notes on the nose. On the palate it presents itself as a full-bodied cream liqueur; the texture is very creamy and smooth, with the softness of milk chocolate pronounced.

How is it served?

It can be drunk neat at fridge temperature; adding ice can slightly thin the texture. It can be added to coffees such as lattes and cappuccinos, and is also used in dessert recipes.

What desserts does it pair with?

The milk chocolate and vanilla notes complement chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream, buttery biscuits and hazelnut desserts. A small glass alongside coffee is also a classic after-dinner choice.
