Edinburgh Gin Pomegranate & Rose Liqueur

Edinburgh Gin Pomegranate & Rose is a 20% ABV gin liqueur made in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, by blending the classic Edinburgh Gin with pomegranate seeds and Damask rose petals. The Edinburgh Gin brand was founded in 2010 and joined the family company Ian Macleod Distillers in 2016.

What does it taste like?

The producer states this liqueur, inspired by Eastern evenings, has a light, fragrant character reminiscent of Turkish delight dusted with icing sugar. On the nose, soft rose petals stand out. On the palate, delicate floral notes meet the fruity taste of pomegranate; the gin's light warmth is softened by the lingering fruit flavours and a light citrus vibrancy.

How is it served?

As the producer recommends, it can be added to a dry sparkling wine such as prosecco for a light aperitif. It can be drunk neat with ice, or used to add a measured sweetness to a classic Martini. For a longer drink, it can be mixed with rose-flavoured lemonade or tonic and garnished with a twist of lemon peel.
