Beylerbeyi Gold, also sold under the name Tera Gold (Teragold), is a 45% ABV raki from Beylerbeyi, triple-distilled from 100% fresh grapes. No sugar is added during production; the raki aims for a strong aniseed character with a smooth drinking style.

How is it made?

The producer describes this raki as made from fresh-grape suma, triple-distilled with aniseed. Triple distillation aims to produce a smoother, more balanced distillate by separating only the desired fraction at each stage. The Beylerbeyi brand has a wide range including other rakis such as Göbek, Mavi, Kalecik Karası and İncirden.

What does it taste like?

According to an independent tasting note, it turns intensely and attractively white when water is added, showing light yellowish glints once whitened. Aniseed is very pronounced on both nose and palate; the alcohol is calm, smooth and round. It was found mature, balanced and easy-drinking, even suited to drinking neat. Retailer notes mention grape and raisin flavours alongside aniseed.

How is it served?

Chilled, it is drunk in a narrow-waisted raki glass, diluted with cold water; ice is added last.

What food does it pair with?

A classic cold meze platter, grilled fish and seafood, and mature cheeses offer a balanced pairing.

Nose: Intense aniseed; calm, smooth spirit.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
