Khareba Alazani Valley is a 12% ABV semi-sweet red wine made from Saperavi grapes grown in the Alazani Valley in Georgia's Kakheti region. It is produced by Tbilisi-based Winery Khareba. Saperavi is one of the most widely grown grapes in Georgia, known for its deep colour, full body and pronounced varietal bouquet.
It appears deep ruby in the glass. The producer describes it as velvety-textured and full-bodied; Saperavi's distinctive varietal character comes through alongside a light sweetness. Its semi-sweet style offers a softer, easier-drinking profile than dry reds. The producer states the wine is made using classic technology.
The producer recommends serving at 14–15°C, slightly below room temperature. Chilling the bottle briefly in the refrigerator before serving makes it easier to reach the right temperature. Once opened, it should be recorked and kept in a cool place.
According to the producer's recommendation, it pairs well with fish and seafood, cheeses and vegetable dishes. Its light sweetness creates a balanced match with mature cheese boards, and it can also be served comfortably with vegetable salads.
