Fowler's Cherry Whisky Infusion

Fowler's Cherry is a 35% ABV flavoured whisky drink from the Russian Ladoga Group, made by flavouring Fowler's whisky with natural cherry juice. In Russia it is classified as a whisky-based nastoyka, or fruit tincture, and is bottled at Ladoga's own facility in St Petersburg.

The Fowler's brand and its producer

According to the producer's account, Fowler's takes its name from the Scottish Fowler clan and uses the owl from the clan's coat of arms as its emblem. The brand's owner, Ladoga, was founded in St Petersburg in 1995 as a distribution company, began its own production in 1997, and today exports its products to more than 40 countries. According to the producer, Fowler's is the only Russian whisky brand to make Drinks International's 2025 Millionaires' Club list.

What does Fowler's Cherry taste like?

Its nose is elegant and lightly bitter; cherry-stone tones develop over notes of oak and vanilla. On the palate it offers a soft, balanced, multi-layered structure: juicy, ripe cherry flavour is accompanied by vanilla, oak and caramel, with light herbal nuances felt in the background.

How is it served?

It can be drunk chilled, neat or with ice. Lengthened with cola or ginger ale, it gives a cherry-flavoured, lightly spiced long drink.

What desserts does it pair with?

Thanks to the classic pairing of cherry and chocolate, it can be served in a small glass alongside bitter chocolate cakes, cherry-chocolate cakes and brownies.
