Don Simón Sangria is a 7% ABV ready-to-drink sangria made with red wine, offered by the Spanish group J. García Carrión under its Don Simón brand. It contains red wine, water, sugar, citric acid, and natural fruit and cinnamon extracts. The Don Simón brand was founded in 1980 in the town of Jumilla, Murcia, and is known in Spain for its juices and wines.
What is sangria?
Sangria is Spain's iconic summer drink: red wine combined with fruit and sugar to create a light, fruity and refreshing drink. In Spain it is especially popular in summer, served with fresh seasonal fruit. Don Simón's ready-made sangria offers this recipe in a bottle; all that is needed is to add fruit and chill.
How should it be served?
It is traditionally served well chilled, in a large jug filled with ice. Adding slices of orange, lemon and peach freshens the citrus and cinnamon aromas in the bottle. The large 1.5-litre bottle is practical for crowded tables and garden gatherings.
What food does it pair with?
It pairs well with tapas platters, grilled chicken and barbecued meats, paella-style rice dishes and salted nuts. Its light sweetness also allows it to be enjoyed with fruity desserts.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
