Au Vodka Blue Raspberry is a 35.2% ABV flavoured drink from Au Vodka, a brand founded in Swansea, Wales, combining five-times-distilled vodka with raspberry flavouring. Because its alcohol strength falls below the 37.5% minimum set by the European Union for vodka, the label carries the term "Flavoured Spirit Drink" rather than vodka.

The producer describes Blue Raspberry as a sweet blend combining its award-winning vodka with fresh raspberry flavour. According to retail descriptions, the drink is sweet and blue in colour, with raspberry flavour coming through alongside the vodka base.

Where does the Au Vodka brand come from?

Au Vodka was founded in Swansea in 2015 by school friends Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn. The brand's name comes from Au, gold's symbol on the periodic table, an idea continued in its gold-coloured bottles. British DJ and producer Charlie Sloth later joined the company as an investor and executive.

How should it be served?

It can be served well chilled as a shot, or as a long drink over plenty of ice with lemonade, tonic or soda. Its blue colour shows best in mixes made with plain soda, while a slice of lemon balances the sweetness.

What does Au Vodka Blue Raspberry pair well with?

Its sweet, fruity profile suits fruit desserts and ice-cream-based sweets. Served as a chilled long drink, it makes a well-balanced accompaniment to raspberry cheesecake, fruit salad or a salted nut platter.
