Disaronno Velvet is a 17% ABV Italian cream liqueur from Saronno-based Illva Saronno, combining Disaronno Originale's characteristic taste with a velvety cream. Launched in the summer of 2020, the liqueur is set apart from the Originale by its white, contemporary square-capped bottle. It is designed for those who love intensely flavoured creams.

What does Disaronno Velvet taste like?

According to the producer, the liqueur offers a silky texture and a warming sensation; the floral, fruity character of almond is accompanied by nuances of chocolate and vanilla. Seller notes also mention rich cream, apricot and toffee flavours. The nose is soft and lingering, becoming even more pronounced when served over ice.

How is it served?

The producer particularly recommends Velvet over ice, cold; its lower alcohol content makes it a refreshing choice in summer. It is also used in coconut Batida-style mixes and creamy cocktails such as the white espresso martini.

What desserts does it pair with?

Its almond, chocolate and vanilla notes make a natural match with desserts such as chocolate cakes, brownies, tiramisu and vanilla ice cream; it can also be served in a small glass with coffee after a meal.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
