Brogan's Irish Cream is a 17% ABV Irish cream liqueur made by blending fresh cream, oak-matured Irish whiskey and chocolate. The brand is today part of the Quintessential Brands group's portfolio.
What does Brogan's Irish Cream taste like?
According to seller tasting notes, pronounced cocoa and sweet vanilla notes stand out on the palate. The rich, velvety texture of the fresh cream is balanced by the warming effect of the Irish whiskey; the finish carries light hints of chocolate alongside the whiskey's warmth. The producer describes this profile as a rich, generously flavoured cream.
How is it served?
The producer recommends Brogan's with ice or in Irish Coffee. It can be drunk neat, chilled, added to hot coffee or hot chocolate, or used in creamy cocktails. As it contains cream, it should not be combined with acidic mixers such as lemon juice or tonic.
What desserts does it pair with?
Its cocoa- and vanilla-led character makes a natural match with desserts such as chocolate cakes, brownies and tiramisu. Drizzling it over plain or chocolate ice cream is also a practical dessert idea.
