Esentepe (Agios Amvrosios) is a village and villa area about 25–30 km east of Kyrenia, stretching from the slopes of the Five Finger Mountains down to the sea. Unlike the high-rise developments in İskele, Esentepe and neighbouring Bahçeli are mostly low-rise. Residents are largely Northern European and British retirees, golf fans and long-term tenants.

Korineum and golf

What puts Esentepe on the map is Korineum Golf & Beach Resort, at Karaağaç west of the village, home to North Cyprus's first 18-hole golf course. Golf-week groups usually order for gatherings that carry on at the villa after the clubhouse closes: Scotch single malt, gin and tonic supplies and plenty of iced drinks top the list. For outside deliveries to rooms inside the resort, the hotel reception's rules apply.

Regular orders from retired residents

Year-round residents in Esentepe have a set routine: a wine-heavy "stock the cupboard" order every fortnight or month. Red wine, sparkling wine, a blended whisky, sherry- or port-style liqueurs and cider to suit British tastes feature strongly. We have English- and German-speaking staff, so you can write your order in your own language.

Distance and route

The shortest way from our branches to Esentepe is the north coast road: from Bafra over the mountains to Tatlısu, then west to Esentepe, about 65–75 km in total. Esentepe orders are prepared once confirmed by phone or WhatsApp (+90 539 138 15 62); the delivery day, time and charge are also agreed in that confirmation, depending on the route and how busy the day is. The hours of whichever branch dispatches the order apply. Bulk orders placed in advance are the easiest to fit in.

Alagadi and respecting nature

Alagadi (Turtle Beach, also known as Onüçüncü Mil), west of Esentepe, is a protected beach where sea turtles nest. In summer there may be restrictions on night-time access. If you're planning a beach picnic, follow the local rules and take glass bottles and rubbish home. For sundowners on the villa terrace, chilled white wine or rosé is the area's most-ordered pair.

Esentepe village centre is on the hillside, while the villa complexes are close to the coast. It helps to include the complex name and, if there's a security gate, the entry details in your note.

Suggestions

For directions, the complex name and villa number are usually enough. For scattered houses in Bahçeli, send a location pin. We check age (18+) on delivery. You can pay cash, including pounds sterling and euros, or by credit card. We have separate pages for Çatalköy and Bellapais to the west and Tatlısu to the east.

Frequently asked questions

Can you send drinks to my room at Korineum?

Delivery to rooms inside the resort depends on the hotel's rules for outside deliveries. It's usually handed over at reception or in the lobby, so ask reception beforehand.

Can we set up a regular monthly order to our villa in Esentepe?

Yes. We can plan regular orders with you on WhatsApp, confirming stock and the delivery day each time.

Can I pay in pounds sterling?

Yes. We accept cash in pounds, euros, dollars and lira, and credit cards.

Do you deliver to Bahçeli too?

Yes. Houses in Bahçeli are spread out, so sending a location pin makes delivery easier.

Which way do you come to Esentepe?

Usually along the north coast road via Tatlısu, about 65–75 km from Bafra.

Can a golf group order whisky and gin in bulk?

Yes. Tell us the quantities and delivery day in advance and we'll reserve the stock and plan the delivery.
